Beginners' Guide To Facebook Marketing!

The risk you normally take when you write a beginners' guide to using social media is that most of what is valid now may be rendered obsolete in the future as sites and platforms change.
As far as Facebook is concerned, I dont think we have seen the last major changes to the interface as yet and that they allow it to be used by businesses to promote their products and services. As for the newcomer to the social network, there are some simple basics you should know and I hope these will remain valid.

Profile or Page?
In the time I have worked with business owners to build their Facebook followings, I'm not surprised to see how many people are confused about concept of the Facebook page. Occasionally I'll get calls from clients asking for the "login" to their Facebook page and I have to explain that access is obtain through their personal accounts. To clarify.

  • A Facebook page can only be created by a person with a Facebook account.

  • The only people who can make edits to a Facebook page are people with administrative access. You can add as many administrators to the page as you wish, just make sure they are people you trust.

  • When an admin makes a post to the Facebook page wall, the post will read as having come from the page, and not the person who wrote it. At this writing, there is no way to change the functionality to make a wall post from an admin look like it's come from you as a person. This is why you want to be careful about what you post on the wall and how you respond to comments.

  • When you post to the wall of your Facebook page as an admin, the activity will NOT show up in your personal profile feed. I find many clients get confused as to what they believe people can see on their profiles. The Facebook PAGE is separate from your PROFILE or PERSONAL PAGE.

  • People you connect with via Facebook through your personal page are "friends." People who click the Like button on your Facebook business page are generally called "fans" or "likes." When a person "likes" your Facebook business page, they won't have access to your personal information unless you have also added him as a friend on your personal profile and granted that access.

  • As an admin of a business page, you can assume the "persona" of the page/business and comment on other Facebook business pages. You cannot, right now, comment in groups or on personal profile walls. You can, though, reshare a wall post from a personal profile.

This doesn't begin to scratch the surface of Facebook basics, but if you are new to Facebook hopefully this will give you a clearer picture of the difference between the business page and the personal profile. Most importantly, you need a personal account to maintain a page. If you delete your personal account, you lose the access. http://www.laptopmillionsformular.co.uk

How to Make Social Media Work for You!

Current figures show that Facebook currently has over 900 million users, whilst Twitter has some 200 million and the figures for newer social medias also boast high usage.
With an audience this large, it’s little wonder that so many businesses are using social media as a way of promoting their products and services, and dramatically increase profits.

If you’re considering the use of social media to grow your business then you couldn’t have chosen a better time; but there are a number of very important rules to remember as you find your way.

Find the Right Media
Although many businesses have a duel presence, using more than one social media and attracting twice the number of new fans or customers, that’s no reason to jump into every single social media available and hoping for the best. Prior to setting up any social media presence, it’s vital to consider which is the best social media for you and how to approach each one. Whilst Twitter is a great way of sharing news and insights from you, a site such as Facebook enables you to actually share pictures of products and allows you to engage more with your customers.

Regular Updates
The beauty of social media is that it allows you to connect instantly with your customers. However, that connection can only be made and maintained if you’re invested in it in a regular basis. That doesn’t mean that you need to spend all day sitting on Facebook and neglecting other jobs; it really doesn’t take too long to post an update and return messages from followers – the important thing is to ensure that you’re doing so regularly. A recent survey by a New York based marketing company (Mr Youth) showed that 80% of queries on Facebook which were answered by the business in question were then converted into sales – proving that it’s well worth the effort of responding.

Encourage Recommendations
Because of the huge number of businesses operating on social media sites, it can often seem difficult to break through to customers. However, just as is the case in the “real world”, people are more likely to like or become of a fan of a brand or business if they are recommended to do so by a friend or relation. Therefore, asking your followers to share your page or highlight your products could have extremely positive results.  However, it’s also worth noting that those customers or followers will be much more likely to do so if there is a reward available to them. Offering a discount, a prize, or even regular competitions when you reach a target (e.g. 1000 followers or likers) is much more likely to engage them as well as encouraging them to get involved with your page.

Use Opinions Wisely
One of the advantages of social media is that it gives you a direct line to your customers. This means that their opinions, good or bad, of your products and services are also easily available to you. The key here is to use those opinions to either change the way you offer those products and services if needed or to continue your good work. Furthermore, telling those followers how you’ve used their opinions will only further strengthen the relationship you have with those customers.

Top 5 Ways Laptop Millionaires Use To Build Their Subscriber List... Part 3

Here is the last part of this three part series of the things Laptop Millionaires use to build their subscriber list which you can start doing today:

1. Include a 'Sign Up' button in your newsletter. If you're using plain text instead of HTML, be sure to provide a text link to your subscription page. You may feel that this is not required because the subscriber is already on your list, but remember that readers will forward your newsletters to others, or reprint them online. Make it easy for them to subscribe!

2. Add a squeeze page. A squeeze page has one goal − to acquire opt-ins and build your list. Think of it as a mini-sales letter to go along with your subscription or opt-in gift. It should feature a strong headline and a couple of powerful benefits that should make subscribers salivate to sign up! Once created, use a service such as WordTracker to find hundreds of targeted keywords, and promote your offer using pay-per-click advertising from Google, MSN and Yahoo. Now that should make a splash!

3. Include testimonials on your squeeze page. This is crucial. Put one or two strong testimonials from satisfied customers on your squeeze page. This can be in any format, but you may find that multimedia (audio or video) is more 'believable' and inspires more people to action. To further enhance believability, get permission to use actual customer names, locations and/or urls (Don't use 'Mark T, GB'). Add a note inviting others to participate. After all, it's free publicity!

4. Blog religiously. Blogging is a great way to communicate with prospects and potential customers, and creates a nice synergy with your email marketing. Be sure to include your newsletter sign-up form on each page of your blog. You can start a free blog at Blogger or WordPress.

5. Post on other blogs. Post thoughtful comments and information on similar blogs with a link to your squeeze or opt-in pages. Also comment on others' blogs through trackbacks. In most cases, your comments will be posted on their blogs with a link back to your site. This is an easy way to generate new traffic and subscribers, and get your brand out there!

Top 5 Ways Laptop Millionaires Use To Build Their Subscriber List... Part 2

I would like to apologise for the last post of the second part of this three part series of how to build your subscriber list. I can promise you that the last part (part 3) will be with you tomorrow. Lets get into the next five items you need to do or work on this part:

1. Provide samples of your newsletters and Ezines. This lets potential subscribers review your materials before they sign up to determine if it's something they'd be interested in.

2. Archive past newsletters and articles. An online library of past newsletters and articles is both appealing and useful to visitors and builds your credibility as an authority. In addition, if your articles are written with good SEO techniques in mind, they can increase traffic to your website through enhanced search engine positioning.

3. Give gifts subscribers can actually use. Offer an opt-in bonus for joining your subscriber list! Write an ebook or provide a PDF business report, or even hire a programmer to create downloadable or web-based software. But don't limit yourself to offering gifts to opt-ins. Give them out when your readers fill out a survey, provide a testimonial, success story, or a great product idea. Let them know when they can expect the next gift offer. Everyone likes to get something for free! And if you pass out 'goodies' throughout the year, your subscribers will feel truly appreciated − and that's good for business!

4. Ask your subscribers to pass it on. Word of mouth is a powerful viral technique that works great with email marketing. If your subscribers find your content interesting, amusing or informative, they'll probably share it with their friends. This can be a great source of new customers, so make sure to remind them to 'pass it on'.

5. Let others reprint your newsletter as long as the content is not modified. If you're happy to share your content with the universe, then why not! Many webmasters and newsletter publishers are actively looking for high-quality content and, if they reprint your newsletter, you'll get new subscribers, and more traffic and links pointing to your site.

Top 5 Ways Laptop Millionaires Use To Build Their Subscriber List... Part 1

It is a well known fact that email marketing can be profitable for any business, it does not really matter what kind of service or product you are offering. Comparing with any other advertising methods, email marketing is significantly cheaper. If you do it right, it will quickly build loyalty and trust with your customers. The bottom line is, you will generate more sales and make more profits.

The basics of successful email marketing is to have a targeted, permission-based email list. Marketers call their customer lists 'goldmine' simply because  it generates much of their sales revenue. The first step is to build up your list of opt-in subscribers that are qualified and interested in what you have to offer. By completing this first step successfully then you are on your way to 'mining' the gold!

Here are 5 ways to build your list and retention ideas that will help you get the best results from all your email marketing activities:

1. Provide useful, relevant content on your website/blog. Simply because your vistors can subscribe to your newsletter free or you are offering a free report or ebook does not mean they will give you their email address. You have to provide unique and valuable information that will be of interest or use to them.

2. Make sure you add your opt-in form which stands out and easy to find on every page on your website/blog. If it does not look cluttered, you may want to include more than one on some pages. For example, if your opt-in form always appears in the top-left corner of your site, you may want to add one at the end of your most popular posts or articles.

3. Add your opt-in forms to your social media pages. If most of your visitors spend their time on these social media platforms why waste this valuable source of revenue. Integrate your opt-in forms with Facebook and more, it is now easy with most autoresponders.

4. Always make it easy for your visitors to opt-in. If you request more information, it is most likely that fewer people will opt-in. A name and email address should suffice in most cases. If its not necessary, dont include it. You can always survey them once they are your customers!

5. Publish a Privacy Policy. Let your readers know that they can be confident you will not share their information with others. The easiest way to do this is to set up a Privacy Policy web page and provide the link to it below your opt-in form. (Note: If you don't have one, put the words 'privacy policy generator' into a search engine and you should be able to find a suitable form to use.) http://www.laptopmillionsformular.co.uk

You Can Earn $100 a Week Starting With Nothing!

Making money online is not as hard as it seems. When you are trying to make money as an affiliate, you don’t really need previous career related experience. You can learn everything you need to know from the Internet. You can learn new skills along the way to make your living online as an affiliate. You can become an expert in one area by picking up new skills as you go along.
Make money as an affiliate is easy.
1. What to Sell: You have to decide what product you want to promote and make money. You can sign up for Clickbank.com, Amazon or CommissionJunction.com as an affiliate. Here you can find a lot of good products to sell. You can choose something you know a bit about or something you like but please make sure it is a top product in its category.
2. Research Keywords: Next, you need to know how to choose keywords that can help you get a good amount of traffic, without being too competitive to get on the first or second page. Keyword Suggestion Tool (Google adwords keyword tool) is a handy little tool that will help you to determine which phrases are searched most often on Google.

3. Write An Article: Then you can write an article about the subject of the product you chose. You should carefully calculate the keyword density for SEO purposes. At the end of each article, don’t forget to include a resource box with your affiliate link that you are promoting.
4. Submit the Article: Submit that article to every free article directory you can find. You may want to modify the resource box, title or some words in one of the paragraph slightly with each submission.
It’s fairly easy and everyone should do it. Best of all, it doesn’t cost you a cent.
Just remember that when you are writing articles, you have to keep your readers in mind. A lot of the readers scan through article rather than reading it. So your article should consist of a good title, plenty of subtitles and bullet points. A good title should draw readers’ attention quickly and bullet points will make them easy to find the information they are looking for.
Repeat these steps until you are earning more than $100 a week. Once you start earning more than $100 a week, you can spend some of your earnings hiring freelance (you can find freelancers at oDesk or Elance) writers to write for you. These freelance writers will ghost write articles for you and you own the copyrights of these articles.
You can also invest some money on article submission software or getting an article submission service. Ghost writing and submission service allow you to spend more time working on other aspects of your online business and make more money online. Why not visit us for more information: http://www.laptopmillionsformular.co.uk

How Your Laptop Could Make You a Fortune

We’ve all read stories about people who’ve managed to make a fortune with an internet business and at one point or another; you’ve probably heard their stories and thought that it could be you.

However a quick internet search will quickly reveal that there are seemingly hundreds of thousands of ways into internet richness and it can be difficult to know which are real opportunities and which are little more than get-rich-quick schemes where you’re not the one who gets rich.

There are of course some valid and extremely valuable opportunities to be had and chief among some of the best ways of making money with your laptop are:
Affiliate Marketing
This sounds extremely high-tech but the premise is relatively simple. Affiliate marketing refers to you having a website where you promote another company’s products or services. When the company makes a sale based on your advertisement then they pay you a commission. Simple!

If you’re going to go down this route then you’ll need a strong handle on how the internet works, how online marketing works and you’ll need to be able to write and market your own website – after all, customers can only find the businesses you’re advertising if they can find you in the first place.
Blogging
A Blog is essentially a journal, and the majority of businesses now have a blog of some kind. However, you don’t have to be a “business” to have a blog. You can simply keep a website with your own thoughts, reviews, articles and other links on. Many use blogging as a way of making money by either selling advertising space on their blog or going through the affiliate marketing route. Particularly famous and noteworthy bloggers have even landed book deals and regular columns in newspapers and magazines.

Buying and Selling
On the surface of it, buying and selling often seems like the most straightforward way of making money. With sites such as eBay and other auction sites, buying new items in bulk and then selling them for a profit is like having your own shop but without the outlay of a real world store.

Manufacturing
If selling seems like the perfect way for you to make money online but you’d rather not go down the route of buying your stock, why not make it. Many people now are taking their skills in arts, crafts, baking, manufacturing and so many more, and selling them online. It’s relatively easy to build an ecommerce website and if you have a true talent or skill then why not create a niche market for yourself

Researching
If you have particularly strong English or research skills, why not set yourself up as a researcher for hire? Companies who simply don’t have the time or the resources to do their own research pay vast sums for those who can do the job quickly and efficiently.
